Yes. You can switch plans at any time. When you upgrade (e.g. Basic → Pro), the price difference is charged immediately on a prorated basis. When you downgrade, your current plan remains active until the end of the billing period and the lower price applies from the next cycle.
Your data is never deleted. If you exceed the Free tier limits, you'll still have read access to all documents but won't be able to upload new ones until you're within limits again.
Absolutely. There is no compromise on security. Free and Pro use the exact same encryption — AES-256-GCM, Argon2id, X25519. Privacy is not a premium feature.
