Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service govern the use of oh·my·doc, a service provided by WingByte ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Service Description

oh·my·doc is an end-to-end encrypted document management service. Documents, metadata, and search indices are encrypted on your device before being transmitted to our servers. We provide web and iOS applications for managing your encrypted documents. The service is available in a free tier and a paid Pro subscription.

3. Registration & Account

To use oh·my·doc, you must create an account with a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for:

• · Keeping your login credentials confidential.
• · Safely storing your 24-word recovery key. If lost, we cannot restore access to your encrypted data.
• · All activity that occurs under your account.

4. Plans & Storage

oh·my·doc is available in the following plans:

We reserve the right to modify plan features and limits. Existing subscribers will be notified of material changes at least 30 days in advance.

5. Payment & Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe. Payments are non-refundable except as described in Section 6. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Prices may change with at least 30 days advance notice before your next renewal.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

• · Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• · After expiration, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted.
• · If you cancel within 30 days of your first payment, you are entitled to a full refund.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use oh·my·doc to:

• · Store, distribute, or transmit illegal content.
• · Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent the encryption or security mechanisms.
• · Abuse the service infrastructure (e.g., automated mass uploads, denial-of-service attacks).
• · Share your account credentials with third parties or operate accounts on behalf of others.

8. Encryption & Data Loss

oh·my·doc employs a zero-knowledge architecture. This means:

• · All encryption and decryption happens exclusively on your device.
• · We do not have access to your encryption keys or your plaintext data.
• · If you lose both your password and your 24-word recovery key, your data is permanently inaccessible. We cannot recover it.

You acknowledge and accept this risk as an inherent consequence of zero-knowledge encryption.

9. Limitation of Liability

We are liable without limitation for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. For slight negligence, we are liable only in case of breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), limited to foreseeable, typical damages.

The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in advance where possible.

10. Termination by Provider

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. In case of termination, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data, unless the violation requires immediate action (e.g., illegal activity or abuse).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered office of WingByte, unless mandatory consumer protection regulations provide otherwise.
